Bishop of Chester Visits Hartford High School As part of the celebrations for the 400th Anniversary of the King James I Bible, a group of pupils have been working on a project about William Tyndale and the language of the bible. In order to celebrate their achievements, the Bishop of Chester paid a visit to Hartford High School. He spent time listening to pupils present their work and was able discuss their project with them.
    This letter was sent to the Northwich Guardian by Jeff Turnbull from the Diocesan Board of Education. Unfortunately, it has not been printed, but Governors felt that interested parties should have access to it via the school website. As the promoter of the proposed Voluntary Aided Church of England School at Hartford High we would like to clarify a number of misunderstandings that are currently in circulation.

End of term letter for 2011 is now available
Booked Up News Christmas came early for our year 7's, as on the first week of December the library handed out free books. This is part of an on going national programme that aims to give a free book to every child starting secondary school in England. The programme is run by the national charity Booktrust.
Hartford High School gets set for London 2012 with a grant to plan their Games. Hartford High School in Northwich has been awarded a grant of £4000 to support other schools in their area to also get involved in London 2012 and make the most of opportunities available through the official London 2012 education programme ‘Get Set’.

Hartford High School is celebrating a recent (7th & 8th November 2011) subject visit from OFSTED who found that  the overall effectiveness of Economics and Business education at the school is good.
