Pupils at Hartford Church of England High School

Open Afternoon - Thursday 20th September 2018

05/09/18Open Afternoon - Thursday 20th September 2018

I am delighted to formally invite you and your family to our Open Afternoon which will take place from 4:00pm until 7.00pm on Thursday 20th September 2018.  (Please enter by our West or East Building entrance.)

From the very positive feedback we received from our Open Morning in July we would like to offer another opportunity to come and see the school in action.  Parents commented that they would like to be able to come straight from picking up at primary school so this is why we have decided to have an Open Afternoon.

Along with the warm welcome and exciting activities you will see on the day, there will also be an opportunity to hear my address at 5.00pm in the West Hall.  I will be accompanied by some of our students.  I am very keen to share with you our vision for the future regarding our Christian ethos and the importance we place on high standards and academic rigour, as well as our outstanding pastoral system.

Making the right choice of High School for your child is a very important one and you may have read in the local press, or on the school website, that our results in 2018 were once again very impressive.  You may also be aware that an increasing number of students are coming to Hartford Church of England High School from out-of-zone primary schools – a look at our excellent last OFSTED report may give you an indication as to why this is the case; you may know some of these students already.

I hope that this event will give you a clearer insight into life at Hartford and a taste of some of the many opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for your child.

We really look forward to meeting you on this occasion but if you are unable to attend on the afternoon, or would like to see our school in action during the school day, please contact us and we will arrange for you to visit us.

If, in the meantime, you have any other queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely

Mr M W Holland
