Headteacher Update 5th February 2021

Dear Parent/Carer,

I hope you are well as we head towards half term which starts next Friday 12th February. School will be closed to students for the whole of that week and remote lessons will restart on Monday 22nd February. We are still at the point where we are being told that the earliest schools will reopen to all children is March 8th although we have no indication on any potential phasing involved.

We were very happy with the feedback received from our students and our parents regarding how much they enjoyed the Wellness Wednesday session this week. We will be building on this experience during the next Half Term by offering three more opportunities for our students to enjoy some no-screen activities.

You can find more details on these sessions by reading our Remote Learning email this weekend. This weekend’s edition is number 5 and produced ever lovingly by Miss Peña. It is full of crucial remote learning tips and probably an even more important read than my emails! I commend it to you.

Finally this week I would like to thank again our students for their excellent levels of commitment to online learning. We collect data from every lesson and it is great to see so many of our youngsters so positively engaged at all times – please give them a pat on the back!

Enjoy your weekend.

In Caritas et Veritas,

Mike Holland
