Headteacher Update 31st December 2020 - IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ

31/12/20

Dear Parent,

I really hope you and your families have managed to enjoy the Christmas break.

You will be aware of the statements made yesterday regarding students returning to school in January and I felt I should clarify the current timeline:

DATE

ACTIVITY

MONDAY 4TH JANUARY

  • INSET Day

TUESDAY 5TH – FRIDAY 8TH JANUARY

  • Children of Key Workers and vulnerable students in school
  • Remote learning for all other students

MONDAY 11TH – FRIDAY 15TH JANUARY

  • Year 11 in school
  • Children of Key Workers and vulnerable students in school
  • Remote learning for all other students

MONDAY 18TH JANUARY

  • All students in school

All students will follow their normal timetable and we have tweaked the school day a little.

If you are a Key Worker of a child in Years 7 – 11 and you feel that your child needs to be in school please log on to the link below and let us know (if you already did this at the end of term there is no need to do so again). Children will be supervised and access exactly the same work as those at home; they will not be in lessons with their teachers as their teachers will be delivering lessons online.

We want and need to ensure that all students engage with their remote learning and to support you as parents we will be taking registers for every lesson and will be contacting any student who is not online directly. We have the determination and technology to do this!

We will email parents again on Monday 4th January regarding the exact provision for remote learning. Students will also be contacted through their direct school email accounts.

2020 has been a year we will never forget. Happy New Year!

In Caritas et Veritas,
