Headteacher Update 29th April 2022

Dear Parent

I hope you are well and looking forward to the long weekend. A short email this week.

I had the privilege on Wednesday of attending the school production of We Will Rock You – a musical production based on the music of Queen. We have done everything we can to ensure that extra curricular events have continued over the past two years but, apart from a very socially distanced music concert last summer, this was the first major school event to have taken place since before the start of the pandemic. It was a joy to behold and clearly a joy to be part of for the cast, the musicians and the technical support team – all of them relished being part of the production and will have gained so much from it. I have seen a few bleary eyed cast members this morning after their Thursday performance but our students did their school and their families proud.

As ever, these events cannot take place without the hard work and dedication of staff and I would also like to thank them for their contributions – particularly Mrs Kilgannon who directed the production. She goes on Maternity Leave today and we are very thankful that there was not an early arrival! We wish her well.

In Caritas et Veritas,

Mike Holland
