Covid-19 Update 17th April 2020

Dear parent/carer

I hope you and your loved ones are all well and that you have been able to enjoy the sunshine over the Easter period and what should be the Easter holiday for our children.

I have delayed this week’s email until we had clarity from the government about the lockdown – now we know that schools will not reopen until May 11th at the very earliest. Please be assured that staff are in constant contact with each other regarding work being set and our ongoing curriculum provision; we will endeavour to refine this further over the coming weeks.

We continue to be at the end of an email or phone for you in these worrying times. Given increasing economic uncertainty it may be that your circumstances have changed so that your child now qualifies to receive Free School Meals; if this is the case please let us know so that we can provide for you accordingly.

In the rush at the start of the lockdown we were unable to say a proper goodbye to Thea Rogerson (Maths teacher) and Steve Dale (Teaching Assistant) who have now left the school. I know that you would like to join me in wishing them both well in their next ventures and we will invite them back to say a proper farewell when the opportunity arises.

I will contact you all again next week.

In Caritas et Veritas,

Mike Holland
