2019 GCSE RESULTS - Headlines22/08/19
Once again, students at Hartford Church of England High School have been rewarded with excellent results this summer in all key measures.
Headteacher, Mike Holland, said: “We are very pleased with these results. Our core subjects continue to perform exceptionally well with over 70% of students achieving at least 5 good passes including English and Maths. Success in the English Baccalaureate which is a qualification for students who gain grades 9 – 4 (A* - C equivalents) grades in English, Maths, 2 Sciences, MFL and History or Geography continues to be high with over 40% of students achieving the qualification. This is due to the school insisting that students study rigorous academic subjects as the core of their curriculum.
“In the option subjects our youngsters in Business Studies, Chemistry, Further Maths, ICT, PE, Music and Design Technology have performed exceptionally well this year and our commitment to high standards continues to be rewarded. We are very proud of these achievements and our students must be congratulated for their efforts.’’
