Safeguarding

What is safeguarding?

The Government has defined the term ‘safeguarding children’ as: ‘The process of protecting children from abuse or neglect, preventing impairment of their health and development, and ensuring they are growing up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care that enables children to have optimum life chances and enter adulthood successfully.’

As a school community we work together in partnership with parents/carers and external agencies to ensure that we meet the Every Child Matters Agenda. We are a safeguarding school committed to safer recruitment and vetting procedures. Our extensive Inclusion provision and excellent House System ensures that every child is treated on their individual merits and we ensure they are given every opportunity to leave us Fit for the World.
