Links to the Community
Hartford High School has excellent thriving links with the local, regional and international community.
- Through the involvement of our Year 10 students in work experience, and all of our students in our Enterprise programmes.
- In our commitment to local environmental issues, and our engagement with Marshalls Arm Nature reserve.
- By the letting of school’s facilities for community use.
- Attendance in assemblies of local charity, business and religious groups.
- Strong links with local post 16+ Colleges.
- Links to Malaysian schools through London 2012 International Inspiration programme
- Educational stands at the Cheshire County Show (Best in Show 2010)
- Own 'Hells Kitchen' team trained by Ainsley Harriot's Chef School and providing catering and prestigious County events, for example Arley Hall flower show.
Through the year, each ‘House’ selects a number of charities to support, ranging from local groups, for example a children’s hospice, to raising funds for our link schools in Africa through our Afri-Twin Project. Recently we have made a very exciting link with a school in China.
