Form Groups

All students upon joining Hartford High School are allocated a Form Group.  There
are eight Forms in each group, which are then equally split into the four Houses.

Students stay with their Form Tutor for the 5 years, allowing a sense of team spirit
to develop.  Importantly this also creates a caring ethos and a strong relationship
to grow between the students and their Form Tutor and Head of House.  In order
to monitor a child’s progress these key members of staff liaise closely with families and external support agencies.  This promotes a three way partnership, fostering a positive approach to learning in each and every child, and providing support structures if required.

Each morning begins with a full tutor session of twenty minutes for the purpose of
registration, communication, assemblies and activities related to active citizenship.

Throughout the year all students engage in ten cross curricular, citizenship days that focus on personal, social, health, moral and cultural responsibilities.  These exciting and thought provoking days help to develop our students into ‘well rounded individuals’ that leave Hartford High School, truly ‘Fit For The World’.
