Curriculum KS3 & KS4

Curriculum Organisation:

We provide a balanced, broadly based, inclusive and relevant curriculum that fulfils all statutory National curriculum requirements. Our timetable comprises 50 one hour periods, spread over two weeks.

Key Stage 3: Years 7, 8 & 9

Students follow a common curriculum. In Year 8 some students have the opportunity of studying an additional foreign language. During Year 9, students select courses that they wish to continue through to GCSE level.

Key Stage 4: Years 10 & 11

In Years 10 & 11 students are normally required to follow examination courses in English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Dual Award Science or Single Sciences, a Modern Foreign Language, ICT, Religious Studies and two option subjects. All students have the opportunity to study PE to GCSE level at the end of Year 11.
