Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care

As a school we value and recognise that all of our students have individual talents and needs and sometimes students need assistance, not just academically but also with their mental and physical well-being.

At Hartford High School we build on the positive and address the areas of improvement by ensuring we get to know each and every child as an individual.

To support our House System and our Form Tutors, we have an outstanding Inclusion Resource Centre that supports all our students and helps them to re-engage with learning especially when they have had to deal with barriers to their studies.

At Hartford High School we are very wary of 'hanging labels' on our students. We interpret Special Needs very broadly; from those students displaying exceptional gifted and talented abilities to those who may need specific individual support to aid their progress with learning.

We are an inclusive school that firmly believes that all students are entitled to an education programme which meets their needs.
