Outstanding Success once more at Hartford Church of England High School!
Students at Hartford Church of England High School have once again achieved an excellent set of GCSE grades; 81% achieved 5 A* - C grades with 68% of all students achieving 5 or more A* - C grades including English and Mathematics.
Headteacher, Mike Holland, said: "We are delighted with these results - which are due to the hard work and dedication of students and colleagues, as well as the support of parents. 82% of students achieved A* - C grades in English and 76% did so in Mathematics. Results in our specialist subjects of Languages and PE have once again outstripped all national figures.
Our commitment to high standards continues to be rewarded - the performance of our students in the English Baccalaureate is outstanding - nearly double the national average and this is due to our insistence that students study rigorous academic subjects as the core of their curriculum.
"We are very proud of these achievements and the students must be commended for their efforts; I know how hard they have worked during their time here and it is essential that politicians at national level give our young people credit where it is due. This really is a wonderful set of results with which to complete the first year of our life as Hartford Church of England High School.''
Highest overall achievers were Georgia Ashley, Isobel Dodd, Stephanie England and James Risk who all achieved 15 A/A* grades.
Another 18 students achieved between 12 and 14 A/A* grades: Eleanor Bass, Charlie Clifford, Sophie Hawthorn, Catherine Hayes, Amy Nield, Lauren Woodcock, Charlotte Clarke, Bethany O'Hanlon, Abigail Welch, Ben Whitcombe, Lucy Yarwood, Guy Chadwick, Cameron Cooper, Rebecca Holland, Jessica Hughes, Mia Jacobs, Tom Jordan and Rajnie Uppal.
