Around the World 22nd January 2010
Our latest Primary Sharing Morning based on the theme of 'Around the World' was a massive success with over 200 students taking part.
On Friday, 22nd January we had the privilege of hosting another primary sharing event. The theme, suggested by our primary colleagues, was 'AROUND THE WORLD' and what a unique set of performances this inspired! Greenbank students stunned us with their Dream Time Aboriginal Tale about how the birds got their colours and the masks and costumes were amazing! There were fantastic cross-curricular links with history, such as Winnington Park's recital of the Viking poem. Well done for learning all those words off by heart! Hartford Manor presented a message based on global citizenship and geography, focussing on the importance to the world of the essential commodity of water. Also the Darwin Express took us on a round the world tour, stopping off at a fascinating range of destinations from Greece to China! Hartford Primary gave us French numbers, alphabet and songs! Super bien!!! The morning was rounded off with Barnton's beautiful dance and the audience response spoke for itself. Thank you to everybody for all their hard work and effort in putting on this wonderfully educational and entertaining morning. A good time was had by all.
